We've been at Mike's since the end of January and love it. He's been a great landlord, something we really needed after the stupid assholes. I brought Mister to Dillon in February, which he was not very happy about. Unfortunately he decided to show his displeasure by losing a shitload of weight. This summer was spent shoving grain, complete feed, and beet pulp down his throat (sometimes literally, he didn't like the beet pulp). Though he could still stand to gain a bit, he's looking much better.
Kishou and Mister are leased out to a riding club in town where I teach the lessons. I'd be thrilled if she paid me normally, but she's not because they're underprivileged kids. So instead of getting paid $10/hour per kid, I'm just getting $10/hour. So instead of making $100 on Monday like I should have, I made maybe $30 if I'm lucky. >.>'
Sadie's leased out to the lady who painted my mom's nails for the wedding. >D She's in town too. I feel really lucky that all my horses are close.
Work isn't going too great...I'm still on the same 2 damn days a week. I've been there over a year and some new person came and got full time like immediately. I was pissed. I'm sick of working there though, but there's nothing else in town. I'm tired of living here but Thomas insisted on procrastinating last year and when he could've been student teaching right now he's still got a year left of classes, and he still hasn't done his TEPS interview. I'm extremely frustrated with him.
I haven't done much with LOMH since I got it back from the editor's. She put tons of good things to think about in it but I just haven't had the time or motivation.
I got on Maddy for the first time when Frosty was here. That was exhilarating! I haven't done much with her since but I can't wait for her to grow enough for me to start working with her. I just want to give her the chance to be a baby first.
It snowed yesterday which I was not too thrilled about. It's all melting now but I mean, come on. Where's fall? It's supposed to rain before it snows, sheesh. I do miss Oregon. I miss the opportunities and my old friends and the fact you could find anything you needed in a close range. I miss the green and being close to the ocean (I always took that for granted) and the fact that it never got under 35 degrees. I miss zip codes that start with 9 and having a 503 phone number. I miss the opportunities of jobs that pay more than minimum wage, and the fact Oregon minimum wage is one of the highest in the nation.
I miss the opportunties with horses, the shows, the trail rides, the people (well some of them), the beach rides, playdays, people who love Kishou...and Mister...and realize what he's worth...I leased him to an older couple before leasing him in town and they were trying to deny that he was even worth $1000 because he was "skinny" and I was like o_O. They didn't know what registries were and didn't understand that points were worth way more than the ribbons their mare had been winning HERE at non-recognized shows. Morons.
But meh. I'll probably be stuck here for the rest of my life. In the stupid cold snow with dead end jobs that don't pay nearly enough.

I'm all set up on Neo... but I can't post on the guild board just yet. -__-'
But I AM back. :3
